Harry Potter (JK Rowling)

As a reader, there are times when I'm actually sad that there won't be anymore books in the Harry Potter series. I'm not drawn to science fiction, which some consider these books. In fact, aside from the Harry Potter series, I think I've only ever read one other science fiction piece (by Orson Scott Card, at my husband's strong recommendation). But when it comes to Harry Potter - the plot lines, the characters, the imagination - I love it all. Particularly in the later books, the way that Rowling plays with themes of good and evil give the books a depth that makes them more than children's books, more than science fiction. If you haven't read Harry Potter, you should. If you have, re-read them.
